Comp Sales Pulse
A read on where U.S. retail growth stands, drawn straight from the underlying dataset: 52 companies, each on its own headline comparable-sales or digital-growth series, sourced quarter by quarter from press releases, 10-Qs and 10-Ks — never an aggregator, never a modeled estimate.
Growth across the tracked universe
Median quarterly growth rate across every company reporting that quarter (calendar-quarter grouping, since fiscal year-ends vary by company), plus how many companies were growing versus shrinking. One reading per company per quarter: 12- and 16-week fiscal quarters (Costco, Kroger, AutoZone) are assigned to consecutive calendar quarters rather than by period midpoint, so no company is counted twice. Hover to read any quarter.
Where things stand right now
Each company’s most recently reported quarter — not the same calendar quarter for everyone, since fiscal calendars differ, but the latest each has disclosed. Sorted high to low.
Trend explorer
Each company’s own quarterly trajectory since FY2019 (or since it went public, if later), grouped by category. Scales are per-company so shape reads clearly — watch the 2020 COVID swing and the 2022–23 slowdown recur across nearly every panel.
