Comscore State of the U.S. Online Retail Economy Q3 w/ Holiday Forecast is a quarterly report from Comscore. This year Comscore is predicting 15% YoY growth for online retail, which is a more optimistic prediction than the 10-11% predicted by Adobe, Forrester, and NRF. Comscore delivers the content via a webinar, and then send a deck to webinar participants a few days afterwards. Same Store Sales report (SSS) is a regular feature published by ChannelAdvisor highlighting the Same Store Sales across our wide range of thousands of retailers and billions in GMV. For the week leading into holiday, they are seeing 58% of all session on mobile devices (smartphone & tablet). Here is their report for the 3rd week of November SSS results.

Other Holiday Benchmarks
IBM has two cool new tools out this year. IBM Watson Trend monitor all social media chatter, and identify the hottest gift trends (Apple Watch). Watson Benchmark Live is a real-time dashboard, annonymously aggregating key e-commerce benchmarks from all IBM Analytics (formerly Coremetrics) customers.
Google Trends is a usefull way to see the relative populartiy of various search terms. For example, Magento vs. Shopify. This year they added a Google Shopping Insights tool which has more detailed data on the top 4000 shopping quierries. You can see that Star Wars Legos vs. Minecraft Legos.
Deloitte holiday forecasts that overall retail will grow 3.5% – 4% this holiday, and that digital will influence 64% of all purchases.
Forrester also publish an annual holiday forecast for subscribers. Custora, Demandware, and Monetate each share some of their customer data.
