The National Retail Federation celebrates it’s 100th year of advocacy for the retail industry, with it’s annual event “Retail’s Big Show” in New York City Jan 9 – 12. I highly recommend you follow the Retail Big Show Blog and the #NRF11 twitter feed this week.
If you are attending the show, I will be hosting a breakfast presentation Tuesday morning from 7:30am to 10am, January 11th in Room 1A03 at the Javits Center. I’ll be joined by Patti Freeman Evans of Forrester Research and Mark Campanella from IBM. We’ll be discussing the “Age of Consumer Empowerment”, including the fundamental ways in which the modern “consumer is different from her predecessors, and how the traditional path to purchase is no longer valid. If you are interested in shopper marketing, you’re sure to get some new insights that will help you achieve your goals in 2011.
